Common Business Idioms (Part 2)
“Hi everyone, and welcome back to another daily English lesson! Yesterday, we explored some common business idioms. Today, let’s learn a few more!”
Idiom 1: To bring to the table.
To bring to the table” means to contribute something valuable or useful to a situation or discussion. For example, “She brings a lot of experience to the table in marketing.
Idiom 2: To think outside the box.
“We learned this one yesterday, but let’s review! “To think outside the box” means to think creatively and come up with unconventional solutions or ideas. It encourages us to break away from traditional thinking patterns and explore new and innovative approaches.”
Idiom 3: To hit the ground running.
To hit the ground running” means to start a new job or project with great energy and enthusiasm, and to be immediately productive. For example, “He hit the ground running in his new role and quickly made a significant impact.”
